The story of the 2020-2025 referendum and a look at the needs for beyond 2025

The highest average projected cost increase of the referendum is $102 per year on a $100,000 home. This cost drops to $11 after the 2027-2028 school year. This is over the 2023-2024 mill rate.

As part of this referendum the district is committed to maintaining small classes sizes, individual teachers for each grade level at the elementary level, is committed to ensuring a regular maintenance schedule to replace aging classroom and hallway floors, interior and exterior doors, and preventative maintenance on the roof and HVAC system to ensure saved taxpayer dollars down the road. As part of this referendum the district will spend at least $100,000 a year on building maintenance to ensure cost savings in the future or will designate this money towards future big building needs, such as replacing the boiler system or emergancy hvac repair.
