Gym Addition Repair

Construction of the White Lake School District's addition of a gym, fitness center, and commons area was completed in approximately 2013. Since this work was completed, this facility has become a major part of the White Lake School District Community. The facility hosts classes, school functions, and athletic practices. In addition, it hosts basketball and volleyball games that have been free to the public to attend. The fitness center currently has 119 people registered for access and the facilities have hosted numerous community events including athletic camps, 4-H, the 3 on 3 tournament, and more. 

During the 2021-2022 School Year, staff at the White Lake School District discovered light coming through a crack in one of the gym walls. This led to emergency repairs and a year long investigation as to what is wrong, why it is wrong, and what else needs to be repaired. Below you will find a letter addressing the situation as well as a list of questions that have been asked regarding this issue and the answers that we have.
